Samsung revealed some new handsets in Singapore Telecommunications Exhibition – Samsung J800, Samsung L870 and L700.
Samsung J800 Luxe
Samsung J800 Luxe when you first hear the name you may think this is luxary handset, but no, it’s not. J800 is mid-range slider. It has got 2.2-inch 256k TFT display (176 x 220 pixels).
The camera is 2mpx (no autofocus) but the phone features photo blog function – it allows direct image upload over 3G.
Also it has got video player, FM radio, microSD card slot and stereo bluetooth. You can check office documents with built-in office document viewer or HTML browser, RSS reader and POP3/IMAP4 mail client.
There is no pricing information.
Samsung L700
L700 is the second mid-range handset presented from Samsung. It’s quad band device.
This device has 2.1 inch 256k TFT display with 128 x 160 px resolution. 2mpx no autofocus camera is the other downside.
Samsung L700 also have document viewer, HTML browser, RSS reader and POP4 mail client.
It will be available in 3 colors – gold, silver and pink. Also, no pricing information.
Samsung L870
First we got to say – L870 doesn’t belong to the Soul lineup. L870 runs on a Symbian OS – like Nokia smartphones in N series. It has got 3mpx autofocus camera and nice 2.4 inch 16M TFT QVGA res display.
It supports tri-band networks + HSDPA 3.6Mbps. There isn’t WiFi. It sports Bluetooth, mini USB and FM radio. The internal memory is 100mb and the memory card slot microSD can be up to 4gb.
L870 will be available in Europe this August. No pricing information yet.
