The first main difference between Eee PC 1000 and 1000H is the storage device. 1000 uses SSD witch is more power-consuming and drop resistant, 1000h uses normal HDD like a normal notebook, it isn’t drop resistant and the battery is drained faster because it has got moving parts.

But witch one of them is faster, maybe 1000 with his SSD? Well it seems 1000H with HDD is faster than the SSD version when it comes to writing a data to the disk this includes web browsing and installing applications. But in the reading speed test SSD version is a lot faster than HDD version of Eee PC 1000.

The another main difference is the price. Eee PC 1000H is a lot cheaper (understandable) – almost with $150. So witch one to choose? Well it depends on your individual needs.

If you need more space for your files and doesn’t care to much about battery life, drop resistance and you won’t spend a lot of money – Asus Eee PC 1000H is for you.

But if you do care about high battery life, low-noice, drop resistance, vibrations and faster read data speed – Asus Eee PC 1000 is for you.

Here is one interesting video showing speed comparison 1000/1000h.
