Samsung Pixon is Samsung M8800 Bresson

The 8mp cameraphone Samsung M8800 Bresson was officially announced today. There is some nice photos from the Russian team.

Samsung M8800 Pixon or Bresson is the secound 8mp device from Samsung, Samsung innov8 is the fist 8mp Samsung cameraphone. Samsung M8800 is not a Smartphone and has no keyboard but it has got nice 3.2 inch touchscreen display. It sports TouchWiz interface like Omnia and Samsung F480 Tocco plus Weather and Google widgets.

True, it’s not a smartphone, but the Samsung M8800 has an impressive specs sheet, which includes goodies such as:

  • quad-band GSM network support and tri-band HSDPA
  • dimensions: 107.9×54.6×14.9mm
  • weight: 110 g
  • 3.2 inch touchscreen with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels
  • 8mp autofocus camera with WDR, ASR and GPS geotagging; WVGA (720×480 pixels) and VGA (640 x 480 pixels) @30fps video recording
  • Built-in GPS
  • Accelerometer
  • FM radio with RDS
  • microSD card slot
  • Bluetooth

There is no WiFi support though it would be nice. The retail price of Samsung M8800 will be 550 euro (800 US dollars) and the release date is around 10 November 2008.
