Here is some good news for those who need more space on their mobile phone and their memory card is full. SanDisk introduces 16GB microSDHC and M2 for mobile phones and other devices. SanDisk is going to start shipping this memory cards next month.
It seems the devices that support 8GB cards will manage to handle 16GB cards too. SanDisk gives a chance to normal mobile phones to compete with iPhone and other 16GB handsets. However, the best thing is the price cut, when 16GB came out (next month), the 8GB cards price will drop down.
There is no official prices, here is some unofficial info; 16GB SanDisk microSDHC – 70 euro / 100 US dollars; 16GB SanDisk M2 – 90 euro / 130 US dollars.
