HTC T8290 leaks WiMAX and GSM enabled

October 10th, 2008 admin Posted in Rumours | Tags: , , ,

HTC are preparing new WiMAX/GSM enabled handset - HTC T8290. This device was presented at the WiMax World Conference in Chicago. T8290 runs on a Windows Mobile OS and support GSM and WiMAX networks allowing even more flexible wireless internet access.

The phone has got large 3.8 inch screen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and WiFi/Bluetooth support. The back of the T8290 is showing a Yota logo, which is a Russia WiMaX network provider. In Russia they don’t have 3G network support so having a portable WiMAX device seems even cooler in regions that have no 3G support - such as Russia in this case.

Here are some pictures/photos of the HTC T8290
