Today we saw a major leak revealing the Roadmap of HTC 2009 (the better part). The leaked images reveals 25 new handsets including the updates of Touch Diamond and Touch HD, there are no specs available yet – only images.
HTC will be all abount touchscreen phones in 2009. There is also a few equipped with QWERTY keyboard. The 25 leaked images includes varios mobile phone and the HTC Iolite is the only one we know about.
HTC Topaz is the successor of HTC Touch Diamond. There is different versions of the phone – HTC Topaz C, C maybe stands for CDMA (Code division multiple access). HTC Citrine – it looks line HTC Topaz but it’s more tuned down. AT&T have their own version too.
HTC Rhodium is something like a Pro version of the HTC Touch HD. It has got huge screen and nice full QWERTY keyboard – that thing will surely be huge. Tungsten seems identical to Rhodium, both Rhodium and Tungsten will have GSM and CDMA versions.
HTC Whitestone W seems to be successor of HTC Touch HD. Remember HTC Touch HD was first named Blackstone. The phone also have got kickstand – something line Nokia N800. The letter “W” in the name means CDMA.
The HTC Firestone is something like more compact version of HTC Touch Diamond.
You probably remember HTC Advantage X7500, HTC have update it too, now is called HTC Thoth.
And finally – HTC Hero is the one and only Android based mobile phone – it’s quite similar to the Android G1 by T-Mobile. We hope the information is wrong and we’ll see more Android based handsets from HTC.
The next three phones are codenamed, HTC Maple, HTC Willow W and HTC Cedar C – they are BlackBerry like smartphones with QWERTY keypads. Again the letter “W” might mean CDMA.
You already know about HTC Iolite. The HTC Magnet is also called HTC Iolite aka HTC Iolite II, 2, two. So it’s probably hardware update.
HTC Twin – the first GSM/CDMA device by HTC. The HTC Beryl aka Jade 2 is supposed to be successor of Touch 3G, we do not see d-pad, only two hardware keys.
HTC Memphis and Jasper C look like mid-range phones with sliding QWERTY keypads and seems a lot like HTC P4350. The keys under the screen of Jasper C will propably be touch sensitive too.
And finally the last three devices – based on the Sapphire platform. Sapphire 1.5 (for DoCoMo), Sapphire 2.0 (for T-Mobile) and Sapphire (for Vodafone). The shape of the phone reminds of the T-Mobile G1 Android.
