Nokia 6700 classic – 5mp camera, GPS and Nokia Maps

Nokia 6700 classic is ment to become bestseller. This is the latest S40 handset from Nokia or the succersor of Nokia 6300. The phone sports 5mp autofocus camera, built-in GPS reciver with Nokia Maps and Nokia WebKit Open Source Browser available only on the Symbian S60 smartphones.

It’s pretty sleek, only 11mm of thickness, Nokia 6700 sports full metal keymat. The screen has 2.2 inches 16M colors QVGA resolution, and support both quad-band GSM networks and dual-band UMTS networks + HSDPA up to 10Mbps. The phone also has got built-in accelerometer tap-for-clock and turn-to-mute features which we saw in Nokia Arte lineup.

The video recording features of the phone aren’t so good – max 15FPS@VGA or 30fps@CIF, there is no WiFi connectiviry or even document viewer. The phone definitely has got stylish design and some nice features.

There will be Flash Light 3 support, witch will allow watching Flash videos on the go. The Windows Live messenger comes preinstalled on the phone. Nokia 6700 classic will ship in ilver metallic, Matte metallic, Black metallic, and Brown metallic colors – estimated price 235 euro and release date Q3 this year.
