The Samsung Blue Earth is solar powered eco-friendly handset with touchscreen. People can always count on the solar power to make a call with this phone. There is also standart DC charger, witch Samsung claim to be very efficient.
The box of the phone is made by recycled paper retail box and it has got low standby power charger. The handset is made by plastic from recycled water bottles – free of harmful materials.
There is “eco mode” witch sets features like the Screen and Bluetooth to run in an energy efficient manner. There is also the highly popular step-function but this is a little bit different. It calculates how much CO2 would have been released if you were using a car and the units for this calculation is the number of trees saved.
