Today HTC have announced the upgraded version of Touch Diamond and Touch Pro – HTC Touch Diamond 2 and HTC Touch Pro 2, respectively.
HTC Touch Diamond 2
First the display is larger – from 2.8 inch VGA to 3.2 inch WVGA, underneath we’ve got zoom bar. Touch Diamond 2 has flat battery cover now and the battery is 1100 mAh battery, HTC are promising twice the battery life.
Touch Diamond 2 sports a 5 megapixels camera with autofocus and offers 512MB of built-in memory plus microSD card slot for more. Diamond 2 is running on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS. The device is expected in Europe and Asia by Q2 2009 and across the globe later on. There is no pricing information yet.
HTC Touch Pro 2
Touch Pro 2 has got large touchscreen display – 3.6 inches instead of 2.8 in Touch Pro 1. With the bigger screens comes the higher resolution – 480 x 800 pixels. There is new technology included in Touch Pro 2 and Touch Diamond 2 – there is new touch-sensitive zoom bar placed under the screen, the technology is called Straight Talk.
Straight Talk will provide quick and easy access the email and conference calls using the powerfull speakers on the back.
HTC Touch Pro 2 is a little big smaller than Touch Pro 1 measuring 116 x 59.2 x 17.3 mm. The phone supports quad-band networks and 3G HSDPA 2100. Both handset are runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, but Windows Mobile 6.5 was unveiled today so the devices will be upgradeable to ver. 6.5.
HTC Touch Pro 2 will hit the market in the early summer, the price is still unknown.

Diamond II is better than the former generation in every way, but I miss the diamond cuts on the back which are eliminated on the next generation.
