Nokia N86 8MP introduction

February 20, 2009

in Announcements

Nokia have used a clever marketing trick to get the attention to themselves. Nokia N86 8MP was announced in the second day of the MWC 2009 fooling everybody for half a day that there won’t be relevealed a handset-flagship to answer the pressure of the other manufacturers.

Nokia N86 8MP have leaked several days ago with its full specifications available. N86 has got 8GB if internal memory and a microSDHC card slot with up to 16GB support. The phone offers WiFi and GPS conectivity, FM transmitter plus a 3.5mm stereo jack and TV out. Nokia N86 is world wide usable thanks to the quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA network support.

Nokia N86 8MP promises stunning camera performance, this is the first cameraphone to offer customisable aperture values and a 28mm wide angle lens.

We are talking about dual-slider again, this is a traditional Nokia thing ever since the first dual-slider phone – the Nokia N95. N86 keys have excellent ergonomics. The phone has got really cool kickstand like N96.

Nokia N86 runs on the Feature Pack 2 of the S60 Symbian UI, there is really nothing new. Every Nokia smartphone comes with different se of transition effects. The Ovi integration can be spotted all over the user interface.

N86 8MP looks good enought, it has rich specs list and offers a great 8MP camera. The only thing that dissapoints is the screen size, it could be bigger.
