Today on the Internet have leaked the Sprint’s Q1-Q3 handsets roadmap for 2009. The leak comes from Phone News they manage to get their hands on a roadmap revealing the upcoming Sprint’s devices for the first three quarters of 2009, the thing looks pretty good. The hightlight is the Q2 Palm Pre aka Palm P100 release, the BlackBerry Niagara and HTC/Samsung Windows Mobile devices.
Kyocera-Sonyo 3810 – 1X Clam
This phone offers 2.4 inch QVGA display, Bluetooth, 1.3 MP camera, Sprint IM and Email support. Kyocera-Sonyo 3810 1X Clam is developed for basic voice users wanting a unique clam shell with a large display. It’s targedet to the business and consumer low end device users want a basic device with Email Support. The phone is expected in Q3 2009.
Sonyo 2700 – 1X Messaging
Sonyo 2700 offers 2.2 inch QVGA screen, Bluetooth, 1.3 MP camera and full QWERTY keyboard. The reason for the development of this phone is the success of the first low cost messaging device with an exposed QWERTY. The phone is targeted to the young users – under 18, heavy text messangers; Capitalize on great success in Rumor with High volume, Low cost device but higher ARPU with messaging. Samsung Mini – Mass Touch
The phone is developed to help target the low-end full Touch device market.
